It's all ball-bearings nowadays...

Peter Bennett has created the BeatBearing project: a simple Tangible User Interface that uses ball bearings to program a sequencer. Sure beats those clacky ball pendulum things that were part of the 80's executive starter kit. I think if Dr. Dre collaborated with the inventor of the abacus this is what they would come up with.
